Andres Y. Gonzalez
University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law
Law Student
Hawaiian Islands
Andres is a 3L at the University of Hawaii and was the ATJ Tech Fellow at LawHelpNY last summer. Moving from Cuba at the age of 20, Andres worked tirelessly to learn English and continue his college education. He received a B.A. in Anthropology from Stanford University and currently serves on the editorial board of the ABA Law Student Division, where he writes for the Student Lawyer magazine and the Before the Bar blog. Since his 1L year, Andres has contributed to the newsletter of the ABA Health Law Section covering topics related to Privacy Law. To strengthen his privacy and cybersecurity background, Andres enrolled in a data science course last semester, and his goal is to use his legal and technological skills to make legal knowledge more accessible. His dream after law school is to serve as an EJW fellow providing direct services to low income communities.
