LSC's 2019 Innovations in Technology Conference

Determining the impact of your organization’s efforts can be challenging. One set of metrics may be available for the provision of direct services with another set of metrics more appropriate for legal information, lawyer and pro bono referral sites, or legal technology self-help tools. There's much to consider. Each project, website, microsite, outreach effort, or tool has its own key performance indicators (KPIs), as does each attendee, such as attorneys, advocates, and people seeking free or low-cost legal help. Raw numbers don’t tell the whole story. Context is needed to craft stories about what the numbers mean. This may involve going beyond analytics platforms to include survey data. In this session, we’ll share common concerns from the organizations' and funders' perspectives. Panelists will share ideas and practices to help attendees build a meaningful analytics framework to determine impact, craft stories that resonate, and find way to improve and help close the justice gap.
