The content behind statewide websites is an incredible tool for anyone trying to solve a legal problem. Fantastic legal information, easy-to-use online intake and triage, automated forms, statewide websites have it all. However, great content alone is just a piece of the puzzle. Titles, metadata, structure, and SEO all contribute to whether users can get to the information they need. This session will focus on two programs that are rethinking the site search tool based on analytics, user research, and best practices to make information more accessible once users arrive on the site. Attendees will learn what these programs have done to improve overall SEO to make pages visible within external search engines, where most traffic comes from.
