LSC's 2019 Innovations in Technology Conference

Traditionally, pro se assistance has been characterized by brief advice before a client is left to file their own case, which makes it hard to know and track what happens after filing. It also leads to massive drop-off rates of clients who do not get the outcomes they want. Advancements in mobile technology, user interface, and docket tracking are now enabling end-to-end provision of legal services to pro se clients in small claims, bankruptcy, and other areas. This session will help attendees think through designing pro se experiences for their own clients from beginning to end, including: (1) reaching clients through Google search engine optimization and other digital marketing channels; (2) educating clients as they move through your pro se pipeline; (3) implementing effective strategies to track and minimize drop-off rates; and (4) determining whether clients get the desired outcomes.
