Field Assessment: Civil Legal Supports
What could a modern civil justice system look like? And how do we get there from here? With support from The Kresge Foundation and The Pew Charitable Trusts, nonprofit research group NORC at the University of Chicago is launching an assessment of the civil legal field. Over the next five months, this project will seek to identify approaches to making justice more effective, affordable, and accessible and to understand what related investments and activities are critical to make this happen. This affinity group is a chance to share your ideas and learn about the assessment. Sandra McAlister Ambrozy (The Kresge Foundation) and Erika J. Rickard (The Pew Charitable Trusts) will introduce the project and the NORC team. We are eager to hear about your work and experiences in civil legal justice, your observations about innovative approaches to closing the justice gap, and prospects for reform.
