Mayuris Pimentel has been a program counsel with the Legal Services Corporation’s Office of Program Performance for three years following more than 10 years as a regional attorney with Justice for Our Neighbors, a national network of pro bono and reduced-fee immigration services providers. In that capacity, she represented clients in immigration court and before immigration services. She also provided ongoing strategic direction to Justice for Our Neighbors’ board of directors on issues related to budgeting, program management and expansion of legal programs, fundraising, and board development. Before her work with Justice for Our Neighbors, she served as the Landlord-Tenant Master for the Camden County vicinage of the New Jersey Judiciary, where she coordinated the processing of post judgment motions by litigants seeking relief from eviction proceedings and prepared recommendations for their disposition. She began her legal career at Camden Regional Legal Services, where she worked as a staff attorney in the family law and centralized intake offices. Mayuris received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History of African Americans from The George Washington University and her J.D. from the Howard University School of Law. Mayuris is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Maryland.
