Kris Reinertson is a grants coordinator and geographic information system (GIS) specialist at LSC. He develops maps of service delivery for use in strategic planning and program quality visits; disaster maps that provide poverty estimates in flood zones and hurricane paths for use in funding requests; and web maps that contextualize service areas with relevant demographics. A few of his current projects include developing a Maps page for LSC's website, spatial analysis of drive time areas from LSC grantee offices, and creating a story map of how legal services have been provided in flood disasters. He currently has a graduate certificate and is pursuing his Master's degree in Geographic Information Science through Northwest Missouri State University. He is an administrator of LSC's GIS software through Esri's Nonprofit Program. He continues to develop the capacity of LSC and its grantees to turn spatial data into useful information.
