Sarah joined SRLN in September 2018 as Deputy Director. Prior to SRLN, Sarah supervised the operation and continuous expansion of the Maryland Courts Self-Help Centers - a network of self-help centers operated via a contract between the Maryland Judiciary and Maryland Legal Aid’s subsidiary, the Maryland Center for Legal Assistance. Under her leadership, Maryland’s self-help centers grew from an experimental, pilot program to a robust, statewide program serving visitors via walk-in, phone, and live chat services. Under her management, the Maryland Courts Self-Help Centers served more than 300,000 visitors in less than 9 years.

Sarah has a strong background in project management and effective collaboration between justice system stakeholders. She is passionate about building legal services delivery systems that are responsive to the legal needs of low and moderate-income communities.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where she received the Ward, Kershaw Award for Client Advocacy
