Cristina Llop is the Family Law Facilitator/Self-Help Attorney for the Superior Court of California, County of Mendocino.  For the 10 years prior to joining the Mendocino Court, she consulted for the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), the Self-Represented Litigation Network (SRLN), and the Judicial Council of California, on strategies and policy initiatives for providing access and legal information to self-represented litigants and limited-English speaking communities both in California and nationally. She is currently still consulting on a limited basis for the NCSC on self-represented litigant and language access projects. Before becoming a consultant, Cristina worked at the San Francisco Superior Court as director of its multi-lingual self-help center, and previously as a legal aid lawyer. In 2009, Cristina became a federally and California-certified court interpreter and has routinely interpreted in state and federal courts.
